Notary Services
Under current legislation (D.L. 71/2011), the notarial services are only available to Italian citizens who are permanently or temporarily abroad.
To sign notarial deeds and for other services, foreign nationals must refer to a Notary Public in the United Kingdom.
The notarial deeds signed at this Consulate General are valid to be used in the territory of the Italian Republic and at any Italian Embassy or Consulate abroad. Italian citizens who are in UK and need to sign a notarial deed to be valid in the UK or any other Country but Italy, will need to contact a notary public in the United Kingdom.
British documents to be valid in Italy must be legalised by means of an apostille.
